At Dentist Mandy, we accept payment with your DVA Health Care Card. The dental services that may be covered by the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) will depend on which DVA Health Card you hold. If you are eligible for the DVA Health Card, please let us know at the beginning of your appointment.
The DVA issues health cards to veterans, their war widow(er) and dependents to ensure they have access to health and other services such as dental care.
Generally, the Department of Veteran Affairs will fund all dental services for Gold Card holders. If you are a White Card holder, the Department of Veteran Affairs will only fund dental services in relation to your accepted disabilities.
Please contact the Department of Veteran Affairs if you’re unsure of your eligibility.
We offer bulk-billing for treatments covered by the DVA dental schedule to eligible card holders, which means that you won’t need to pay any out-of-pocket expenses for these treatments. However, some dental services such as crown and bridges have an annual limit.

Some dental treatments will require prior financial authorisation from Department of Veteran Affairs before we can treat you. If that is the case, we will examine your teeth and advise you what dental treatment you will need, and then request financial approval from the Department of Veteran Affairs.
After we have received approval, we will perform the dental treatment at your next appointment with us.
