The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 2-17 years that provides up to $1,000 in benefits to the child over two consecutive years for basic dental services.
The CDBS will cover your child’s general dental work, including:
The CDBS will not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental work.

Medicare will assess your child’s eligibility each year and a notification will be sent to the child or child’s parent/guardian.

Before we provide you with any services, the dentist will discuss with you about the proposed treatment and an estimate of the cost of the treatment.
At Dentist Mandy, we offer bulk-billing services for CDBS patients. This means you won’t need to submit a separate benefit claim to Medicare. Dental benefits for patients under the CDBS are capped at $1,000 over two years. This means that we will accept the payment from CDBS as full-payment for our services and you will be responsible for paying costs (if any) over the $1,000 cap.
